Images of the Wheal Busy Observatory site - December 2001
The Approach Lane. The lane extends for 150 yards and is badly overgrown. The lane needs cutting back severely, services need brining in and the track needs hardcore and gravel.
The West side and entrance to the Wheal Busy site. This area is the access to the site and will contain on site parking in addition to that adjacent to Wheal Busy mine.
Looking East from the North-West corner. The observatory and buildings will be built along this perimeter.
The capped mineshaft along the Southern perimeter. The shaft has been capped but may need further work if the land is to be brought into use.
